"Government Project, Do Not Delay"

Betcha, this is yet another perfect example of what Pinoy drivers call "road intimidation" techniques.

Here are some, by experience, that I know:
1. a big, and I mean really big government ID (PNP, DENR, etc.) in the windshield;
2. a "wang-wang"
3. or a bare red plate

I don't exactly know what it meant, but what are these people trying to say with this 8 1/2 by 11 inches signage?

What the heck?!

Unlike the US, where they have a traffic court where road accidents are meticulously tried so they'd know whose fault it really was, the Philippines has a simple working rule: If you hit a pedestrian, it's your fault.

Certainly, it will be a case of "Reckless imprudence resulting to injury/homicide". That's it. Even if a person committed suicide by deliberately standing in a path of a speeding car.

Funny, right?

Well in that case I wish I'd be laughing my way rolling over my wheels to these bunch of people.

And man, if only that pedestrian overpass could talk.

And so the MMDA, I assume, in desperation, made this infamous sign board ("Do not cross [the street], FATAL").
