Unlike the US, where they have a traffic court where road accidents are meticulously tried so they'd know whose fault it really was, the Philippines has a simple working rule: If you hit a pedestrian, it's your fault.
Certainly, it will be a case of "Reckless imprudence resulting to injury/homicide". That's it. Even if a person committed suicide by deliberately standing in a path of a speeding car.
Funny, right?
Well in that case I wish I'd be laughing my way rolling over my wheels to these bunch of people.
And man, if only that pedestrian overpass could talk.
And so the MMDA, I assume, in desperation, made this infamous sign board ("Do not cross [the street], FATAL").
